Charity Work
Quantum Advisory is keen to support a variety of causes, and does so by providing sponsorship to several local and national charities. Employees are encouraged to join our range of committees which support our ESG goals, be they environmental and/or social issues.
These include organising fund-raising
activities, supporting local charitable and community initiatives and
generating ideas how as a firm we can operate sustainably and how we can
influence our stakeholders. Amounts
raised by employees are matched by the Firm.
Quantum values the importance
of volunteering to the employee and organisation and therefore supports staff to volunteer within
their local community by providing
paid time off.
Tŷ Hafan

Quantum Advisory is a longstanding supporter of Tŷ Hafan, one of the UK's leading paediatric palliative care charities. Tŷ Hafan provides emotional and practical support to parents and siblings, helping to create special memories, offering comfort and respite at the hospice and in the homes of the families or in hospital, all done completely free of charge. One of Quantum Advisory's first fund raising projects won them an engraved bronze apple which was placed on the charity's commemorative Gift Tree at the hospice in recognition of reaching their ‘pay for a day goal’ of £11,000.
Since then, we have raised over £30,000 for the charity. Past events have included the Race to the Stones challenge, exceeding their £5,000 goal, a fundraising ball in 2018, quiz nights, office sweepstakes, bake-offs and taking part in Tŷ Hafan’s Christmas pantomime.

In 2023, members of the Actuarial team were in Cardiff were proud to be participants in the Tŷ Hafan’s Christmas panto. The firm was presented with its our own “leaf” on the Tŷ Hafan Gift Tree in recognition of all the sponsorship raised by colleagues over the past eight years.

In September 2023 Team Quantum took part in Tŷ Hafan’s Football Fives tournament raising £1,500 for the charity. Despite not taking home the title, the firm was presented with the ‘Best Tŷ Hafan Fundraisers’ trophy by former Cardiff City, Celtic, Crystal Palace and Welsh International midfielder, Joe Ledley, in recognition of their support.
Stuart Price, Actuary and Partner at Quantum Advisory, said:
“We have always been keen supporters of Tŷ Hafan, as they provide life-changing help and support for young people all over the country. Team Quantum had a blast in their Football Fives tournament, and we are very proud to have achieved our fundraising goal and be awarded ‘Best Tŷ Hafan Fundraisers’!”
Sorrel Mayo, Corporate Senior Fundraiser at Tŷ Hafan, said:
“It’s always a pleasure working with the brilliant team at Quantum Advisory. During the time I have known them, despite a pandemic and many other challenges, Quantum has always shown huge support for the children and the families we care for. The incredible amount of funds they have raised has had, and continues to have, a direct impact on the lives of some of the most vulnerable in our communities and allows Tŷ Hafan to create lasting memories that many of our families cherish.
“The total funds raised by Quantum is a phenomenal £30,862. We are very lucky to have their continued support, and we can’t thank Stuart and the team at Quantum Advisory enough for everything they do for the children and families at Tŷ Hafan.”

On 16 March 2018 around 180 colleagues, clients and friends of Quantum came together for a Black-tie Dinner to raise money for Tŷ Hafan. Welsh Rugby Union legend Paul Thorburn was the host for the evening, with superb jazz band Big Macs Wholly Soul Band as lead entertainment.
The glamorous evening was a great success and we were able to raise a fantastic £10,000 through a sell-out balloon raffle and lively auction!
Quantum has held a number of quiz and skittles nights for colleauges and friends to raise funds for the £11,000 target - each time exceeding expectations.

On 16 July 2016, a team of over 20 colleagues from Quantum Advisory took part in the Race to the Stones challenge. This saw us take on the feat of walking 50km along the oldest path in Britain, as part of the Race to the Stones Ultra Marathon. This was certainly a challenge for those involved, even for the most avid walkers amongst us!
Spanning from the Chilterns in Oxfordshire to the North Wessex Downs, the Ridgeway is the oldest path in Britain. For five thousand years men and women have left their marks on the chalk paths and woodland tracks making it one of the most fascinating routes within the UK.
We exceeded our goal in raising £5,000 for Tŷ Hafan, thank you to all for your generosity!

In the Plate Competition Eversheds Sutherland were winners, with Azets runners up.
Thank you to all the teams who competed Interbridge Mortgages , Hodge, Bear Structures, Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), and Matthew Collins’ friends. You were all amazing and helped raise over £5,000 for Matthew’s treatment.
